Technology integration links: Mathematics National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM)- The NCTM is dedicated to improving the teaching and learning of mathematics. Here you will find everything from professional development information, to teacher resources, to Internet links. Mathematics Council of the Alberta Teacher's Association (MCATA)- The MCATA web site contains information about conferences, the MCATA newsletter and papers and links to Math sites. The Math Forum- This site provides teachers with information about teaching math, integrating technology, links to quality math sites and projects, and a forum for discussing ideas. TERC- Using the topics list on the homepage, you can find links to projects, products, and publications including curriculum, earth and space science, equity, mathematics education, online learning, school reform, and much more. Center of Excellence for Science and Mathematics Education (CESME)- CESME provides teachers with information about professional development, curricular and instructional resources and integrating technology into curriculum and instruction. Includes a section on graphing calculators and CBL technology. Cornell Theory Center Math and Science Gateway- This site links to math and science resources on the Internet including newsletters, articles, conferences and virtual field trips. Mathematics with Alice- This site will take students on a course through Mathematics with the help of Alice, from Alice in Wonderland. She will guide students through the field of Algebra and with her guidance, they will find themselves more interested in this field of Mathematics. MathNerds- MathNerds is a free service offering assistance in many areas of mathematics. They help by providing guidance, references, and hints, not answers. Texas Instrument: Education Technology and Calculators- This site contains information about TI products and how to use them in the classroom as well as information about current research involving calculators and links to activities and other resources. |
