You will learn how to:

  • implement the project approach in your own classroom.
  • provide choices in the curriculum and maintain high standards of work
  • challenge the most able students and meet individual learning needs
  • offer multi-age experience and maintain grade level performance
  • guide children's learning while offering opportunities for autonomy
  • offer varieties of learning experience and ensure quality for all
  • assess children's learning progress in relation to curriculum goals

 

  • proficient with either Windows or the Macintosh OS
  • able to create, manipulate, and manage files and directories (folders).
  • proficient with a word processor like MS Word or Word Perfect
  • comfortable with individualized learning where you will be responsible for accessing course resources and scheduling your own time and resources.
  • Have full access to a computer and the Internet.
