Overview:

This project will allow students to use technology to explore life in the past, in Alberta, from the 1800's to the early 1900's when Canada became home to thousands of immigrants. They will explore the reasons pioneers came to Canada, how they traveled to their new home and everyday life as a pioneer. |

This project will take 10 to 12 weeks. And will be part of a unit of study lasting 4 months. |

This project will be integrated into Social Studies Grade 3 Topic A- Communities -Past, Present, and Future. The project will be the major part of the study of the "past" history of their community. Technology will also be integrated into the study of the present and possibly for the predictions of the future. |
